VARIBIKE – CYCLING WITH ARMS AND LEGS
For healthy users, the Varibike offers a two-wheeler that can be driven with arms and legs. You can use your entire body to reach top speed.
Research has shown that the maximum power can thus be increased by more than 30%. This is possible when using arm and leg force simultaneously, rather than normal cycling – with the same heart rate.
Cycling with this special bike is a complete body training. In addition to your legs, you can use your arms, chest, back and abdominal muscles with this innovative bike.
PUT YOUR ENTIRE BODY IN MOTION
Depending on what you want to achieve, there are several ways to place your hands on the Varibike. Everything is possible: quietly cycling, getting top speed or sitting on your bike as aerodynamically as possible.
You can grasp the handles with both hands and rotate alternately: one arm pushes the handle away and with the other arm, you pull the handle towards you. You can also decide for the synchronized way: you pull or push both arms simultaneously. With both hands on the handles, you can steer by leaning your body sideways in the corners while keeping the handles moving.
USE THE VARIBLE AS A STANDARD BIKE
You can also cycle with the Varibike as you would with a regular bike, with both hands on the steering wheel (and not on the handles). Then you can just steer the Varibike as you would steer a normal bike.
Finally, you can hold one hand on the handlebar and the other hand on the handle. In this position, you can move the handles with one arm while you can rest your other arm for a while.
